Alvarico L. Moss

Licensed Professional Counselor

I have always had a passion for people. I have had the privilege of working in various fields with individuals from many different walks of life—rich or poor, rural or urban, successful or striving. At some point, everyone needs guidance to attain or maintain mental well-being and to become the best version of themselves.

Through my previous professional experience and my clinical work, I have seen firsthand the impact poor mental health can have—not only on individuals, but also on families and relationships. I also recognize how closely mental, emotional, and physical health intertwine in one’s journey toward holistic wellness. This work is both my purpose and my calling: to support individuals as they work toward balance, growth, and overall well-being.

Because each individual’s story is unique, I strive to meet clients where they are, thoughtfully applying the tools and approaches best suited to help them reach their goals. I view therapy as a collaborative process, one in which we work together to build insight, develop effective coping skills, and help you reconnect with your authentic self.

I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan and have over two years of clinical counseling experience.

My clinical experience includes working with a diverse range of clients presenting with concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship and marital challenges, family conflict, young adult concerns, and career and identity development.

I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and incorporate trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) skills into my work. My approach is trauma-informed and skills-based, with an emphasis on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and building resilience, while remaining flexible to each client’s individual needs.
